Cabinet Expansion Likely Before Assembly Session; Rahul Gandhi to Visit Karnataka, Says D.K. Shivakumar
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Sunday indicated that the State Cabinet expansion is likely to take place before the first week of the upcoming Assembly session.
Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Shivakumar replied in the affirmative when asked whether the Cabinet expansion would take place before the session. On being asked if he would travel to New Delhi again, he said he would do so whenever necessary.
Shivakumar also said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Karnataka. He said the dates are yet to be finalised as they will depend on Parliament’s schedule.
According to Shivakumar, Rahul Gandhi’s visit will include an interaction with students and participation in the bhoomi puja for the Karnataka Congress office project, which has been pending for a long time.
