Tulu to Become Additional Official Language in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada; Mangaluru Cabinet Clears ₹32,611-Crore Development Push
Bengaluru: The Karnataka cabinet on Thursday, November 5, approved the construction of a 10.60-km railway barricade from P G Palya to Kuduvale Cross in the P G Palya wildlife range of the Male Mahadeshwara wildlife division in Chamarajanagar circle, at an estimated cost of Rs 16.83 crore, according to the cabinet decision notes.
The notes say a cabinet meeting held at Male Mahadeshwara Hills on April 24, 2025 had approved projects worth Rs 81.75 crore to control the growing human-wildlife conflict in the wildlife sanctuary, and the railway barricade is part of that plan.
The project is being taken up for the safety of about 2,942 farmer families, the notes say.
