Bengaluru: In the wake of the fatal wall collapse near Bowring Hospital that claimed seven lives, the Karnataka government has ordered a detailed inquiry and directed that a report be submitted within seven days.
The state has constituted a committee comprising Public Works Department (PWD) officials to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident. The panel has been tasked with examining the exact cause of the collapse and identifying any lapses or negligence.
Officials said the inquiry will determine accountability, including whether structural weaknesses, construction activity, or administrative oversight contributed to the tragedy. The report will also recommend action against those found responsible.
The government has emphasized a thorough and time-bound investigation to establish facts and ensure accountability in the incident that has raised serious concerns over urban infrastructure safety in Bengaluru.
