Former Bengaluru city police chief was transferred to Internal Security just 5 months back
Other IPS postings: Arun Chakravarty to Internal Security, Prashant Kumar Thakur to Lokayukta, K Ramachandra Rao to BMTF

Within a span of five months, the state government has again transferred senior IPS officer Bhaskar Rao. As per the new orders issued on Tuesday, Bhaskar Rao has been posted as ADGP, Railways with immediate effect.
Prior to the transfer, Rao was ADGP, Internal Security Division. The 1990 batch IPS officer and former Bengaluru city police chief will take charge as ADGP, Railways from Arun Jeji Chakravarthy.
The state government has posted 1995 batch IPS officer Arun Chakravarthy as ADGP, Internal Security Division.
In other transfers, 1992 batch IPS officer Prashant Kumar Thakur has been posted as ADGP, Lokayukta while 1993 batch IPS officer Dr K Ramachandra Rao will take over from Thakur as ADGP, Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF).
Another IPS officer, Dr Alikana S Murthy, has been posted as ADGP and Managing Director, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation.
