BENGALURU:
Two individuals involved in a series of armed robberies have been apprehended. The Halasuru Police Station successfully arrested two suspects who were operating alone, armed with lethal weapons, and targeting delivery boys in the eastern part of the city.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Zabi and Junaid. Their modus operandi involved singling out delivery boys and lone travelers, threatening them and stealing their mobile phones and money before making a swift getaway.
In a similar incident last month on the 17th, the accused managed to extort a significant sum of money in Ramamurthy Nagar, Halasuru.
In response, a specialized team from the East Division police was assembled to track down the culprits responsible for the crimes committed in two separate police jurisdictions on the same day.
Mohammed Zabi, the primary suspect in this case, has a long history of criminal activities, including murder, theft of two-wheelers, and multiple robberies.
Both suspects have now been apprehended, and the police have recovered three motorcycles, one laptop, nine mobile phones, and a smartwatch worth Rs 550,000 from their possession.
