Bengaluru Traffic Police Restricts Vehicle Categories on BGS Flyover, Peenya Elevated Corridor and Airport Road From September 4
Bengaluru, September 4: The Bengaluru Traffic Police has imposed restrictions on the movement of certain categories of vehicles on the BGS Flyover, Peenya Elevated Corridor, Double-Decker Flyover from Silk Board to Ragigudda, and the International Airport Road Elevated Corridor from Sanjeev Nagar Cross to Vidyashilpa Junction, with the restrictions coming into effect from September 4, 2026.
According to a press note issued by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, the measures have been introduced to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety and will remain in force until further orders.
On the BGS Flyover on Mysuru Road, heavy goods vehicles will be restricted throughout the day. All other categories of goods vehicles, including three-wheeler goods autorickshaws, will be restricted between 7 am and 11 am and again between 4 pm and 10 pm.

On the Peenya Elevated Corridor, passenger autorickshaws and three-wheeler goods autorickshaws will be restricted 24 hours a day. Heavy and medium goods vehicles will not be allowed between 7 am and 11 am and from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Heavy goods vehicles will be restricted round the clock on the Double-Decker Flyover from Silk Board to Ragigudda.
On the International Airport Road Elevated Corridor between Sanjeev Nagar Cross and Vidyashilpa Junction, two-wheelers and autorickshaws will be restricted 24 hours a day. All categories of goods vehicles will be restricted between 6 am and 10 pm.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police said the initiative has been undertaken in the interest of public safety and to facilitate smooth traffic movement and will be enforced under CCTV surveillance.
The police have requested the public to cooperate with the restrictions.
