Bengaluru Police Imposes Section 144 (1) to restrict usage of Swimming Pool, Gym, Party Halls in Apartments

Amid rise in Covid-19 cases as second wave has almost hit, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Wednesday imposed section 144 (1) to restrict usage of swmimming pool, Gym and Party Halls in apartments in Bengaluru.
The Section 144 (1) of CrPC will be implemneted in the city limits from Wednesday. It may be noted that the Karnataka government had earlier banned the operation of amenities such as swimming pool, gymnasium, party halls in apartment/residential complexes in the limits of Bengaluru city.
“Prohibit operation of amenities like Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Party Halls etc in apartment/residential complexes in limits of Bengaluru City,” the order from signed by Pant reads.
Operations of Gyms with more than 50% capacity is also prohibited. Bengaluru, on Tuesday had reported record 4,266 positive cases and 26 deaths.
