Bengaluru, July 8: Days after the alleged incident in which a group of bikers was seen obstructing an ambulance and performing dangerous stunts on Tumakuru Road, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have initiated legal action against one of the riders involved in wheeling near Yeshwanthpur Metro Station.

According to the police, a case has been registered against a two-wheeler rider who was allegedly performing dangerous wheeling on Tumakuru Road near Yeshwanthpur Metro Station under the jurisdiction of the Yeshwanthpur Traffic Police Station on July 4, 2026.

The police stated that legal action has been initiated against the rider for endangering public safety by performing dangerous stunts on a busy public road.

The action comes after widespread public outrage over videos showing a group of bikers allegedly performing wheelies and obstructing the movement of an ambulance despite its siren being on. The incident had sparked demands for strict action against those involved.

Reiterating its appeal to motorists, Bengaluru Traffic Police said “Wheeling is not an adventure; it is a serious danger.” The department warned that anyone found performing such dangerous stunts on public roads would face strict legal action under the relevant provisions of law.

Police said enforcement against reckless riding and stunt driving will continue as part of efforts to improve road safety and protect the lives of commuters and emergency service vehicles.
