BENGALURU:
Following the virus-related lockdown in the city and state, roads and large places like markets, malls, restaurants and parks all look deserted.
The city has around 22 malls, more than 70 supermarkets, more than 1,000 pubS and bars, and hundreds of clubs and theatres, apart from numerous parks. It is quite clear that Bengalureans have taken the advice to avoid large gatherings seriously.
However, some malls were seen open on Saturday, but BBMP health officials took immediate action to shut them down. It is estimated that with more than 5,000 hotels in the city, the segment could suffer a revenue loss of 50 per cent.
