Bengaluru | Income Tax Raid on Food Industries

The Income Tax Department has launched a targeted operation against the food industry in Bengaluru, uncovering instances of tax evasion. In a swift and coordinated move, IT officials conducted raids on establishments located in Rajajinagar and BVK Iyengar Road.
The focus of these raids was on dry fruits traders, with IT officials meticulously scrutinizing their records. This comes on the heels of recent raids on contractors and jewelry owners, as the IT department intensifies its efforts to combat tax evasion. Now, the food industry has come under the watchful eye of the IT department, resulting in raids on dry fruits factories and stores across different parts of the city.
The IT officials, arriving in a convoy of more than ten vehicles, descended upon the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate and BVK Iyengar Road. The PS Agro Food LLP factory and Manak Meva Dry Fruits store were specifically targeted, with a thorough examination of their documents currently underway.
