Bengaluru: Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Jagadish G. has directed officials to develop Freedom Park as a model park following an inspection of the premises in Gandhinagar division, the Greater Bengaluru Authority said.
The directions call for a green, peaceful and welcoming public space where children, senior citizens and other visitors can relax and spend time, according to the authority’s October 16 announcement.
Joint Commissioner Hemanth Sharan, Executive Engineer Pradeep, assistant executive engineers and other officials accompanied the Commissioner during the visit.
The announcement describes an inspection and directions for the park’s development. It does not specify a project budget, a tender award or a completion deadline.
The proposed improvements remain instructions to officials rather than a claim that a redevelopment project has already been completed.
