Mysuru’s infected graph rising
BENGALURU:
Bengaluru’s Covid-19 statistics are showing an alarming trend – two city wards have been totally sealed with no public movement allowed, while 4 more coronavirus positive cases have been reported in the state capital.
Friday saw 10 fresh cases in the state, with Mysurur logging the highest number of 5 and Kalaburagi logging one. This takes the state?s tally past the double ton mark for a total of 207 infected cases, of which 167 cases are active.
The health department’s media bulletin has not disclosed the location of Bengaluru’s fresh Covid-19 cases, but they have been named as patients 198 and 199, a 48-year-old male and a 57-year-old male, and contacts of patients 167 and 168.
This apart, two cases from Bengaluru Rural have been named as patient 206, a 35-year-old male and contact of patient 169, and patient 207, an 11-year-old female and contact of patient 206 (daughter).
Pharma firm ‘hotspot’
The Nanjangud pharmaceutical company remains a hotspot with 5 fresh cases on Friday.
Patient 200 is an 8-year-old male and contact of patients 159 and 103 (son). Patient 201 is a 48-year-old female and contact of patient 103 (mother-in-law).
As per the bulletin, patient 202 is 33, male, and contact of patient 111, who is a worker in the pharmaceutical company, while patient 203 is 28, female, and contact of patient 85 (wife) and patient 204 is 48, female, and contact of patient 183 (wife).
Interestingly, a 55-year-old male, resident of Kalaburagi, is patient 205, suffering from SARI and contact of a negative case who returned from Delhi.
The bulletin also claims that the number of positive cases in Mysuru are increasing. Bengaluru Urban tops the table with 71 cases while Mysuru has 42 positive cases.
