Bengaluru Businessman Found Dead by Suicide at Actress Friend's Apartment in RR Nagar; Police Begin Investigation
Bengaluru, June 25: A businessman was found dead after allegedly dying by suicide inside the apartment of his actress friend in Bengaluru’s R.R. Nagar on Wednesday night. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to police, Vaishakh, who owned an automobile business in Veerabhadra Nagar, was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside Flat No. 403 of Elegant Terrace Apartments at around 8.30 p.m.
Preliminary investigation suggests Vaishakh had reportedly been facing personal issues following a dispute with his wife. He had been staying at his actress friend’s apartment for nearly a week and had been commuting to his business from there.
Police said the apartment had two keys—one with the actress and the other with Vaishakh.
Final Message Before Death
Investigators said Vaishakh had sent a message to his actress friend shortly before the incident, expressing emotional distress and allegedly indicating that he intended to end his life.
At the time, she was away from the apartment in the Yelahanka area. After reading the message, she immediately called him and reportedly tried to calm him down over the phone, asking him not to take any extreme step. She informed him that she was on her way to the apartment.
When she reached the flat around 8.30 p.m., she allegedly found Vaishakh hanging from the ceiling fan. She immediately alerted the police.
No Suicide Note Found
Police conducted a search of the apartment but did not recover any suicide note.
The body was shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police Question Actress Friend
As part of the investigation, police have recorded the statement of the actress friend regarding the sequence of events leading up to the incident.
Meanwhile, Vaishakh’s father is expected to file a formal complaint. Police said the contents of the complaint would determine the direction of the investigation.
The R.R. Nagar Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
