Bengaluru Biryani Shop Fined ₹5,000 for Dumping Waste on Roadside in Kadugodi
Bengaluru: Bengaluru East City Corporation officials imposed a ₹5,000 fine on Devaraj Biryani, a food outlet in Kadugodi, for allegedly dumping waste on the roadside in violation of waste disposal rules.
The action was taken in Ward No. 83, Kadugodi, after the civic body received a complaint from the public about garbage being dumped along the road.
Corporation officials visited the spot following the complaint and conducted an inspection. During the verification, officials established that the waste found on the roadside had been dumped by the biryani outlet.
The shop owner was subsequently fined ₹5,000 in accordance with the applicable rules. Officials also issued a strict warning against repeating the violation.
