Mayor inspects preparations at HQ

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is all set to create a world record by presenting its budget for 2020-21 through video conferencing on Monday.
Owing to Covid-19 fears, the government has directed that the budget be presented through video conferencing. Mayor M Goutham Kumar inspected the council meeting hall to which all zonal offices are being connected so that all 198 corporators, 20 nominated corporators and other elected representatives can attend the event.
The council hall will have seating arrangements for the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, the BJP, Congress and JDS floor leaders, taxation and finance standing committee chairman L Srinivas, who will present the budget, 11 standing committee chairmen and members, and MLAs and ministers.
