Civic agency’s Covid vaccination target is part of Karnataka’s statewide ‘Lasika Mela’
BENGALURU:
BBMP aims to vaccinate almost 1.25 lakh citizens within the city as part of the Karnataka government’s statewide ‘Covid-19 Lasika (Vaccination) Mela’ on Friday.
Preparations are being made at the zonal level to achieve the vaccination target. Measures are being taken to vaccinate people at various sites, including primary health centres, and ensure that no inconvenience is caused.
Additional sessions
The required quantity of vaccines will be provided to each ward in advance. Arrangements have been made to provide vaccines through additional vaccine session sites along with the required staff support.
The public has been informed of the vaccination programme in the city through the PHC network, and Health Officers have been instructed to comply with the mandatory Covid guidelines during the vaccination sessions.

Key targets:
• 100% vaccination of health workers and frontline workers with 1st dose.
• 100% vaccination of health workers and frontline workers with 2nd dose.
• 1st and 2nd dose vaccination of people above 60 years.
• Vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff of all government, aided, unaided schools (classes 1-10) and pre-university (classes 11 and 12, if they have not yet received the Covid-19 vaccine).
• Vaccination of eligible beneficiaries above 18 years.
• Vaccination of other eligible priority or vulnerable groups as decided by the local health officials.
