AEE Uday Kumar (50) is 7th BBMP staffer claimed by second Covid wave
BENGALURU:
The dreaded coronavirus claimed yet another BBMP staffer’s life on Saturday. The deceased is Uday Kumar (50), an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Technical Engineering Cell of the Road Infrastructure Wing.
As per official sources, Uday, a resident of Kengeri, was admitted to Matrushree Hospital in Basaveshwaranagar, west Bengaluru, 10 days ago.
On Saturday, he lost the battle to the dreaded virus. He is survived by his wife and two sons. A native of Kollegal, Chamarajanagar, he was born and brought up in Chintamani, Kolar.
Uday is the seventh BBMP staffer to have died in the second Covid wave that has badly hit Bengaluru City. On Friday, Bengaluru reported around 26,000 positive cases.
