BBMP issues notices to seven Pvt hospitals for ‘violating’ Covid rules

Bruhut Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued notices to seven private hospitals for “violating” Covid-19 rules by not reserving 50 per cent of the beds to Corona patients, BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said on Saturday.

The BBMP issued the show-cause notices to Artyem Hospital, Rangadorai Memorial Hospital, Sanjeevini Hospital, Dr GVG Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Srinivas Hospital, Medstar Hospital and Nandana Healthcare Services India Ltd.

They have been asked to reply within 24 hours to the notice, Prasad said.

He said that if they failed to reply in the stipulated period, in the first phase, OPD of such hospitals will be closed, later, the patients in the hospitals will be shifted to other hospitals, besides hospital will be locked and license will be cancelled.
