After 15 days, Karnataka bus strike called off

Date:

BENGALURU:

Nearly after 15 days, drivers and conductors of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporations have called off the State-wide bus strike on Wednesday evening.

Kodihalli Chandrashekar, honorary president of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation Employees League announced this after the Karnataka High Court ordered to withdraw the strike.

On Tuesday, while hearing a batch of PIL litigations, the High Court had observed that the strike was perhaps the worst time for employees even if the demands are assumed to be legitimate. After the High Court’s observation, a majority of the employees reported for duty on Wednesday morning.
