Accused allegedly filmed the act and extorted Rs 20 lakh

An FIR has been lodged with the JJ Nagar police following an allegation of rape and blackmail by a city-based actress.
The actress, a resident of JJ Nagar, filed the complaint on July 1 against Mohit, a resident of Nayandahalli, and his parents.
The actress alleged that she first met the accused at the Gandhi Bazaar Coffee Day outlet in 2018, when Mohit introduced himself as a CEO of a private company. A few months later, he hired her to promote the company. She was taken to Goa on January 15, 2019 for a photo shoot. Later, claiming his company had financial problems, he allegedly took Rs 1.50 lakh from her.
At a subsequent meeting, her drink was allegedly spiked and she was allegedly raped while unconscious.
The accused allegedly extorted Rs 20 lakh from her by threatening to upload a video of the incident.
