MANGALORE:
In continuation of statewide raids on government officials, the ACB raided properties belonging to the KIADB’s special land acquisition officer Dasegowda on Friday.
The team was led by Mangalore ACB SP Umaprashanth, Dy SP Manjunath and Inspector Yogesh Naik.
On December 19, Dasegowda was trapped after allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 5 lakh. A follow-up was postponed due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
With Dasegowda currently in custody, a search operation was conducted at 3-4 houses and a flat belonging to him in Mangalore. Around 11 sites, including jewellery, belonging to him have been identified in Bengaluru.
The ACB also raided his residence at Cauvery Nagar in Mandya. Dasegowda’s auditor Kumar’s home in Chamundeshwari Nagar of Mandya was also raided.
