Heavy rains forecast over Bengaluru
BENGALURU:
For the next two days, Bengalureans need to take along their brollies while stepping out of the house. Heavy rains are expected to lash the city for the next two days, as per the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC). The forecast for the next 2 days (ending at 8.30 am of July 30): “Fairly widespread to widespread moderate to heavy rains likely over BBMP area.”
Heavy rains are also expected over Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Mandya and Mysuru districts, while moderate rains are likely over Chamarajanagar, Tumakuru, Davanagere and Chitradurga districts.
North Interior Karnataka districts like Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Vijayapura, Raichur, Dharwad, Bagalkote, Bellary Gadag, Koppal, Belagavi & Haveri can expect light to moderate rains
In the Malnad region, scattered to widespread light to moderate rains are likely over Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur and Hassan districts.
In the coastal areas, Scattered to widespread light to moderate rains and isolated heavy rains are likely over Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
