CHIKKODI: Two groups clashed and indulged in stone-throwing at Bekkeri village in Raibagh taluk on Monday night. The police had deployed a KSRP batallion and the situation was tense, but peaceful on Tuesday.
The clash erupted over social media status of Ambedkar which another group took objection to. The two groups indulged in stone-throwing at Ambedkar Circle and, after the police arrived, some sat on protest on Monday night demanding action against the culprits.

The police have heightened security in the village following the clash and a KSRP platoon was camping there to prevent any further flare-up.
