BENGALURU:
In a distressing turn of events, several schools in Bengaluru have fallen victim to malicious threats involving fake bombs. Over 15 private schools in Bengaluru have recently received bomb threats. Miscreants have targeted private schools in through email.
The police have reported that more than 15 schools, including Napel and Vidyashilpa in Basaveshwar Nagar, have received bomb threats. As a precautionary measure, the police are evacuating the students from the schools and reassuring parents that there is no cause for concern.
The police and bomb disposal team have swiftly responded to the situation and are currently conducting an investigation.
It is alarming to note that the individual responsible for these threats has been continuously targeting schools for the past year. However, the authorities have yet to apprehend the suspect.
It is worth mentioning that last year, a staggering 30 schools received threatening emails on a single day.
It’s Fake Bomb Threat says Police Commissioner
“We understand the concerns and anxieties that may arise from such incidents, but I assure you that there is no need to panic,” said Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda. Further he emphasized that the situation is under control and urges the public to remain calm.
Rest assured, the Bengaluru Police Department is committed to ensuring the security and well-being of our community. We are actively working to identify the culprits behind these fake bomb calls and will take swift action to bring them to justice, he added.
