Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) president Ignacio Alonso said he hoped Ronald Araujo will feature at the World Cup in Qatar as the defender continues his recovery after undergoing thigh surgery. Barcelona centre back Araujo, 23, sustained the injury in Uruguay’s 1-0 defeat by Iran in a friendly in September, leaving the pitch after only five minutes.
