Karnataka’s Covid tally 789, including 379 recoveries

After 48 positive cases reported on Friday, the state has seen another spike of 36 Covid-19 cases on Saturday, with Bengaluru having the highest number of 12 cases.
As per the health department’s media bulletin, Karnataka’s tally has reached 789, including 379 discharges.
Bengaluru has reported 12, Davanagere 6, Bidar 3, Bantwal – Dakshina Kannada 3, Bhatkal – Uttara Kannada 7, Chitradurga 3, and Tumkuru and Vijayapura 1 case each.
Saturday’s positive cases in Bengaluru are mainly from Padarayanapura and Hongasandra wards, while the Tumkuru case has a contact from Padarayanapura.
Of Saturday’s 36 cases, 17 are female — including a two-and-a -half-year-old from Bhatkal, and two aged 11 and 12 years from Vijayapura and Bidar respectively.
