Duo misuse Dunzo tag to try and sell sand boa
They wanted Rs 50 lakh for the double-headed reptile

Two youths allegedly misused the name of Dunzo, a well-known online delivery service, to try and sell a protected species of snake. According to the CCB police who arrested the duo, one of them is a Dunzo delivery boy.
According to the police, Mohammad Rizwan, 26, and Azar Khan, 27, both residents of Gurappanpalya, Bengaluru, were trying to sell the double-headed snake for Rs 50 lakh. The reptile belongs to the boidae family, commonly known as sand boa, and is a specified reptile under Schedule-4 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
The snake is used in traditional medicine and is believed to bring good fortune.
Joint commissioner of police Sandeep Patil (crime) tweeted: “While Dunzo doing good job of door delivery of essentials during the lockdown, some misusing it & doing illegal things. CCB arrest 2 accused who used the cover of DUNZO delivery boys & procured & tried to sell two headed snake (SAND BOA) prohibited under Wildlife Protection Act..”
The CCB police have transferred the case to the range forest officer, Kaaglipura range.
