In a clinical setting, an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can successfully distinguish between normal and pathological chest X-rays, according to research published in Radiology, a publication of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Chest X-rays are used to diagnose a wide variety of conditions to do with the heart and lungs. An abnormal chest X-ray can be an indication of a range of conditions, including cancer and chronic lung diseases.
