Bengaluru, April 25, 2026: Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has strongly condemned the alleged “inhuman” treatment of students during the K-CET examination at Krupanidhi College, assuring strict action under the law.

Taking to X, the Minister said the incident has come to his notice and that a complaint has already been registered, with police initiating an investigation. He assured that transparent action will be taken within the legal framework, urging students and parents not to panic.

Rao described as “unacceptable and condemnable” the reported practices of forcing students to remove items such as earrings, bangles, hijab, or sacred threads (janivara), and even cutting long sleeves, stating that such actions can severely impact students’ mental well-being.

“Examination centres should be spaces that test students’ knowledge, not places that undermine their dignity,” the Minister said, adding that the government will take serious measures to ensure such incidents are not repeated in the state.

He also appealed to students not to lose confidence due to the incident and to stay focused on their academic goals. Emphasising perseverance, he said that dedication and consistent effort are the true path to success in student life.

Reassuring support, Rao stated that the entire government stands firmly with students, encouraging them to face examinations with courage and confidence.
