Bengaluru, March 10: The Akhila Karnataka Federation of Petroleum Traders (AKFPT) has clarified that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in Karnataka, urging the public not to panic or indulge in unnecessary bulk purchases.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the federation said all three public sector oil marketing companies โ Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) โ currently have adequate fuel stocks at their supply terminals and depots across the state.
The federation further stated that all retail petrol pumps in Karnataka are operating normally and are well stocked with sufficient quantities of both petrol (Motor Spirit) and diesel (High Speed Diesel) to meet the routine demand of consumers.
AKFPT officials said the fuel supply chain across the state remains stable, coordinated and fully operational, adding that the federation continues to remain in close coordination with the oil marketing companies to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply.
The federation also assured citizens that petroleum dealers across Karnataka remain committed to serving consumers responsibly and maintaining normal fuel availability without any disruption.
The clarification comes amid concerns and rumours about possible shortages, with the federation emphasizing that there is currently no reason for panic buying of fuel in the state.
