Bengaluru: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya on Monday welcomed H.E. Sergio Gor, the U.S. Ambassador to India, during his visit to Bengaluru, where discussions centred on strengthening IndiaโUS economic and technological cooperation.
The interaction, held at Filter Coffee in Indiranagar over traditional masala dosa and strong filter coffee, focused on the expanding bilateral partnership following the recent interim trade agreement between the two nations. Trade, technology, and innovation were key themes of the discussion.
Surya also introduced the Ambassador to โNamma Auto,โ offering him a ride that symbolised the cityโs vibrant local culture. Calling it a โmemorable ride,โ Surya highlighted Bengaluruโs unique blend of tradition and cutting-edge innovation.

He noted that Bengaluru is home to over 700 American companies and contributes nearly 43% of Indiaโs software exports. The city also accounts for approximately 40% of Indiaโs Global Capability Centres (GCCs), reinforcing its status as a strategic hub in the IndiaโUS innovation-led partnership.
The meeting reflects growing diplomatic and economic engagement between India and the United States, with Bengaluru emerging as a central pillar in bilateral collaboration.
