Bengaluru Road Rage Horror: Man Dragged 1.5 KM on Car Bonnet at Trinity Circle car Driver Suresh

Bengaluru: A shocking road rage incident in the city nearly turned fatal after a car driver allegedly dragged a goods auto driver on the vehicle’s bonnet for nearly 1.5 kilometres following a minor argument at a traffic signal.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. near Trinity Circle under the Ulsoor police limits. According to police, the confrontation began when a goods auto driver, identified as Nanjunda, signalled to take a right turn at a traffic light. The car driver, identified as Suresh, reportedly honked repeatedly and later engaged in a verbal altercation.

Police said the argument escalated near a junction when the car driver allegedly accelerated the vehicle while Nanjunda was standing in front of it. As the car moved forward, Nanjunda was forced onto the bonnet and clung to it to avoid falling. Despite his repeated pleas to stop, the driver allegedly continued at high speed for over a kilometre.

The dramatic visuals were captured by another motorist and later surfaced online, triggering public outrage. Other commuters eventually blocked the vehicle near a college stretch, forcing it to stop. The accused reportedly fled from the scene but was later arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim.

Ulsoor police have seized the vehicle and registered a case of attempt to murder against Suresh. Investigations are underway to determine the full sequence of events and whether any additional charges will be invoked.

The victim, who works in the flower goods transport business and regularly travels from Hoskote to the city, escaped with his life but described the ordeal as terrifying. He appealed to motorists to resolve disputes calmly rather than resorting to violence.

The incident has once again highlighted rising cases of road rage in Bengaluru, prompting renewed calls for stricter enforcement and responsible driving behavior.
