KR Puram Police Arrest Four in Serial Two-Wheeler Theft Case, Recover 60 Vehicles
Bengaluru, January 6: In a major breakthrough against rising two-wheeler thefts in the city, KR Puram police have arrested four persons and recovered 60 stolen motorcycles, collectively valued at around ₹50 lakh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ranjith, Yuvaraj, Vinod, and Manikanth. Police said the gang was involved in systematic and frequent thefts, targeting unattended two-wheelers across Bengaluru.
According to investigators, the accused used duplicate keys and lock-breaking techniques, allowing them to steal vehicles within minutes. During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted to stealing an average of four two-wheelers per day.
CCTV Footage Leads to Arrests
With complaints of two-wheeler thefts steadily increasing, KR Puram police intensified surveillance and analyzed CCTV footage from multiple locations, which ultimately led to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
Further investigation revealed that the stolen vehicles were transported to Tamil Nadu, particularly to Jolarpet and Tirupattur, where they were sold illegally.
Police said further investigation is underway to determine whether more individuals are involved in the racket and to trace additional stolen vehicles.
