Boy says flight crew took good care of him

BENGALURU:

The resumption of domestic flights across the country has seen at least 2 instances so far of stranded children flying home unaccompanied.

On Monday, 5-year-old Vihaan Sharma travelled solo as a ‘special category’ passenger on a New Delhi-Bengaluru flight to be reunited with his parents here.

On Wednesday, it was the turn of nine-year-old Shiven Desai to come home to his parents in Bengaluru. Shiven had left for Mumbai on March 15 with his grandmother before the nationwide lockdown came into force on March 25. His mother booked a ticket for him on a SpiceJet flight.

While his parents were understandably worried about his travelling unaccompanied,  the boy himself was none the worse for it and excitedly narrated his story upon arrival  to media persons at KIA. He said the flight crew had taken good care of him.

Shiven will now have to be in home quarantine for the next 14 days.
