5 New Covid-19 Cases Takes Karnataka To 110

BENGALURU:

Within a span of 12 hours on Wednesday, Covid-19 positive cases in Karnataka went up by 5, taking the overall toll to 110. This includes 3 patients who are in critical condition in ICUs.

As per the media bulletin of the health department, the 27-year-old wife of patient 52 who was working with the pharmaceutical company in Nanjangud of Mysuru is herself infected. She is patient 110, in stable condition at a designated hospital in Mysuru.

This apart, another contact of patient 52 has tested positive. He is listed as patient 109 and admitted in a designated hospital in Mysuru.

On Wednesday, Bengaluru witnessed 4 new Covid-19 cases for an overall tally of 48, the highest in the state.

Details of the other patients are as follows:

P102: 24-year-old male, resident of Bengaluru. The detailed investigation is under process. The case is isolated in a designated hospital in Bengaluru.

P103: 37-year-old male, resident of Nanjangud, Mysuru. Preliminary investigation indicates that he is working in the same pharmaceutical company as P52. The case is isolated in a designated hospital in Mysuru.

P104: 27-year-old male, resident of Nanjangud, Mysuru. Preliminary investigation indicates that he is working in the same pharmaceutical company as P52. The case is isolated in a designated hospital in Mysuru.

P105: 33-year-old male, resident of Bengaluru, contact of P103. The case is isolated in a designated hospital in Mysuru.

P106: 49-year-old male, resident of Dakshina Kannada with a travel history to Dubai and returned to India on 20.03.2020. The case is isolated in designated hospital Puttur Taluka Hospital, Dakshinakannada.

P107: 26 year old Male, resident of Bengaluru with a travel history to Spain and arrived to India on 18.03.2020. The case is isolated in a designated hospital in Bengaluru.

P108-K: 63-year-old male, resident of Kerala with a travel history to Germany, arrived in Bengaluru through Abu Dhabi on 21.03.2020. The case was directly quarantined at the identified hospital (Category B) and is now isolated in a treating hospital in Bengaluru.

P109: 63-year-old male, resident of Mysuru (contact of P52). The case is stable and isolated at a designated hospital in Mysuru.

P110: 27-year-old female, resident of Mysuru (wife of P52). The case is stable and isolated at a designated hospital in Mysuru.
