4 IAS officers get a New Year career boost

1990 batchmates, all of them move into ACS-rank pay scale

BENGALURU:

As a New Year 2021 gift, the Karnataka government has promoted four IAS officers, including BBMP Administrator Gaurav Gupta — all of them 1990 batchmates – to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary.

Gupta (KN 1990), who is currently Principal Secretary to the Commerce and Industries Department as well as BBMP Administrator, is promoted to the apex pay scale of level 17 with effect from January 1, and will continue until further orders as Additional Chief Secretary to the government.

This apart, Atul Kumar Tiwari (KN 1990) is promoted to officiate in the apex pay scale of level 17 with effect from January 1, and will continue to work on Central deputation as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

IAS Kapil Mohan and IAS G Kumar Naik

IAS officer G Kumar Naik (KN 1990) is promoted to officiate in the apex pay scale of level 17 with effect from January 1, and is posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education).

Kapil Mohan (KN 1990) is also promoted to officiate in the apex pay scale of level 17 with effect from January 1, and continues until further orders as Additional Chief Secretary (Energy).
