BENGALURU:
The 2nd PUC English exam was successfully conducted across the state, with all safety measures in place, on Thursday.
A total of 5,96,300 candidates wrote the exam, of whom 1,72,350 were from the Arts section, 2,34,926 from Commerce and 1,88,721 from Science. 27,002 students remained absent.

The fact that only a small percentage of candidates were absent was a source of satisfaction, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said at a press conference on Thursday.
