BALLARI: A youth who was attacked by the son of a former mayor died at a private hospital in Bengaluru. The deceased is Thippeswamy and the incident had occurred on March 5.
Thippeswamy was attacked with a piece of wood and had sustained injuries in the head. He had bled profusely due to the assault by Raghu, the son of former Ballari Congress mayor Nagamma.
Raghu and his friends were celebrating his birthday with DJ music and dancing with swords on the road in Hussain Nagar when Thippeswamy asked them to give way. Angered by this Raghu and his associates had attacked Thippeswamy.
An FIR had been registered at the Gandhi Nagar police station and the police had arrested seven people, including Raghu, in connection with the attack.
