BENGALURU:
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has gone into voluntary home quarantine after a driver of one of his escort cars, as well an electrician and another staffer working at the CM’s home office ‘Krishna’, tested positive for Covid-19.
However, none of the three persons has come in direct contact with the CM.
Yediyurappa is currently staying at his official residence ‘Kaveri’. He will be in quarantine for 5 days till Wednesday, and till then will interact with aides and officials via video conferencing.
The CM tweeted: “Since some of the staff at home office Krishna have come in contact with a Covid positive case, I will be under home isolation for the next couple of days. I will be issuing the necessary advice and instructions through video conferencing. I am healthy and no one needs to worry. Everyone should follow precautionary measures and government guidelines. Maintain social distancing and mandatorily wear a mask.”
