Will Centre enforce lockdown rules?

Date:

Public, including in Bengaluru, taking things casually

BENGALURU:

Despite the lockdown in several states, including Karnataka, busy public scenes are still being witnessed across the country. It is learnt that the Centre may crack the whip and order states to take legal action against all violators.

In Bengaluru, one among the 9 locked-down districts in Karnataka, people are moving around on the streets, many of them without any immediate necessity. BMTC has cut almost half of its services in the city, but the number of private vehicles on the roads is still disturbing. There are no apparent signs of public panic over the Covid-19 outbreak, most shops are open, and K R Market continues to bustle with people.
