In connection with the case involving the illegal cutting down of 126 trees in the 10-acre government farm of Nandagodanahalli, the senior civil judge of the Belur court has granted bail to Vikram Simha, the brother of the Mysore MP Pratap Simha.
Vikram Simha was apprehended by forest department officials in Bengaluru for the alleged offense of cutting and transporting numerous valuable trees in Nandagodanahalli, located in the Belur taluk of Hassan district.
The incident involved the felling of 126 trees within a 10-acre area in Nandagodanahalli. As a result, the Belur Range Forest Officer (RFO) has filed a case against the landowners, Jayamma, Rakesh Shetty, and others. The felled trees are currently being stored in the forest department depot.
