President Murmu Presents Padma Bhushan to Sandalwood Icon Anant Nag

Bengaluru/New Delhi: On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Bhushan Award 2025 to the esteemed Sandalwood actor Anant Nag.

This distinguished award was bestowed upon Anant Nag at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to the film industry.

The actor is celebrated for his versatility and significant impact on Indian cinema over the last fifty years. He has enchanted audiences across various languages, regions, and generations, cementing his reputation as one of the most prominent figures in Indian cinema.

For many years, the people of Karnataka have been anticipating Anant Nag’s receipt of the Padma award, and fans are now extending their congratulations to the veteran actor for this honor.

Anant Nag has appeared in more than 300 films, spanning Kannada, Hindi, and Marathi cinema, and has also established a strong presence in the theatre community.
