Tragic Incident Unveiled: Engineering Student Fatally Attacked Over Single Star Rating on Google in Mangalore
Mangalore, Mar. 20: A disturbing incident has recently come to light in which a college student was fatally attacked by the owner of a city hostel and his associates over a single star rating on Google.
The victim, Vikas (18), an engineering student from Kalaburagi district, was the unfortunate target of this brutal attack.
Vikas had been residing at Kadri Boys PG for six months but decided to move to a different room due to the chaotic environment. In an effort to express his dissatisfaction with the living conditions, Vikas left a single star rating on Google, citing issues such as worms in the food and unclean toilets. Allegedly, the PG owner, Santosh, and his associates were enraged by this negative review and carried out a fatal attack on Vikas at 10:30 pm on Mar. 17.
Reports indicate that the accused individuals pressured Vikas to remove the rating, and when he refused, they resorted to violence.
Vikas has taken the necessary step of filing a complaint with the Kadri police station regarding this distressing incident.
