Traffic to be diverted during BBMP work near KR Market

Date:

White-topping at BGS bridge near KR Market will take 15 days

BENGALURU:

White-topping and construction work on the cross-gutter at the right side of NR Road, which is being developed by BBMP on the TenderSure model, at the down ramp of Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji bridge, will commence from Saturday, August 7.  During the construction work, Good Shed Road and the KR Market overpass will be opened for vehicular traffic.

Traffic on Good Shed Road has been blocked since August 5, and vehicular traffic is allowed on the bridge and diverted towards KR Market and Town Hall. Construction work at the down ramp of Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji bridge will be completed as soon as possible to resolve the waterlogging problem at the junction.

Following discussions between the BBMP Chief Engineer (Projects) and the Joint Police Commissioner (Traffic), construction work on the cross-gutter and white-topping will be completed within 15 days. Once the work at Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji bridge down ramp to SJP Road is completed, white-topping will take up at Good Shed road. Traffic will be diverted for the convenience of the public during the construction work.

For any clarifications, citizens may contact Chandrashekar, EE (Projects), mobile: 9480685805.
