APMC Police Station Belagavi
Bengaluru/Belagavi: Belagavi police have apprehended three individuals and detained two minors in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl. The victim was reportedly lured into a compromising situation, sexually assaulted, and subsequently blackmailed using video recordings of the initial assault.
City Police Commissioner Bhushan Gulbarao Borase addressed the press, confirming that an FIR was filed at the APMC station following the incident. Authorities successfully arrested the accused within 24 hours of the report. The victim and perpetrators are all residents of the Belgaum district.
According to preliminary investigations, the primary suspect befriended the victim before orchestrating the assault with accomplices. The recorded video was then used to coerce the victim into further acts. Police are currently searching for one remaining suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
