Bengaluru: South Western Railway (SWR) will run a special express train between Bengaluru Cantonment and Madgaon to clear the extra passenger rush during the weekend holidays, with one trip in each direction.
Train No. 06597 Bengaluru Cantonment–Madgaon Express Special will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 11.50 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and reach Madgaon at 6.10 pm on Friday, October 2.
For the return journey, Train No. 06598 Madgaon–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will leave Madgaon at 8.40 am on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 11.55 pm the same day.
The train will halt in both directions at SMVT Bengaluru, Chikbanavar, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabaka Puttur, Bantawala, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, Karwar and Cancona.
The 23-coach train will have one AC 2-tier coach, three AC 3-tier coaches, 10 sleeper-class coaches, seven general second-class coaches and two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans with compartments for passengers with disabilities.
