The decision to impose a complete Sunday lockdown in the state from July 5 will continue till August 2.
An order issued by Chief Secretary TM Vijay Bhaskar states: “From July 5, Sunday till next four Sundays, there is a full-day lockdown on all Sundays until August 2. But there is no restriction on the transportation of essential goods.”
The order further notes that all departments, offices, boards and corporations of the state government will be closed on all Saturdays from July 10 until August 8.
