State’s Covid-19 Count Now 37

Four new positive cases were confirmed in Karnataka in the last 24 hours, and as per the Central Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website, the state’s Covid-19 count is now 37. The website was last updated at 8:45 am on Tuesday.

As per the website, Karnataka now stands at number three in the country after Kerala (87) and Maharashtra (84).

Tuesday’s seven new cases are as follows:

Patient 34: 32 year old male, resident of Kasargodu, kerala State had a history of travel to Dubai and arrived at Mangaluru, India on 20th March 2020. The case is directly quarantined and isolated from the Airport to the designated hospital in Mangaluru.

Patient 35: 40 year old male, resident of Uttara Kannada District had a history of travel to Dubai and arrived to India on 21.03.2020. The cases is isolated and treated at designated hospital, Uttara Kannada District.

Patient 36: 65 year old male, resident of Uttara Kannada district had a history of travel to Dubai and arrived at Mumbai, India on 18.03.2020 and travelled to Uttara Kannada by train. The cases is isolated and treated at designated hospital, Uttara Kannada District.

Patient 37: 56 year old female, resident of Chikkaballapura district, family member and a co-passenger of P19 and P22, had history of travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia and arrived at Hyderabad, India on 14.03.2020. The case is isolated at designated hospital in Chikkaballapura.

Patient 38: 56 year old female, resident of Bengaluru and contact of P13, is isolated at designated hospital in Bengaluru.

Note: Out of 38 cases detected and confirmed in Karnataka so far 3 cases are transit passengers of Kerala who have landed in airports in Karnataka. The details of their itinerary after arriving in Karnataka will be provided.
