State reports highest single-day deaths of 12, with Bengaluru’s share 8

BENGALURU:

Karnataka created a new record with 12 Covid-19 deaths reported in a single day, of which the state capital accounted for 8. The state’s death toll is now 114.

The deaths include a returnee from Bihar. The patient is listed as P-3912, a 57-year-old resident of Bengaluru with a  history of travel to Bihar. “He was admitted on 03.06.2020 at a jdesignated hospital, Bengaluru Urban,” and died on 06.06.2020,” the bulletin reads.

Of the other deaths, the bulletin reads: “P-5340, 58 years, male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. History of inter- district travel to Ballari, known case of DM & HTN. He was admitted on 06.06.2020 at a designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 13.06.2020.”

“P-6004, 39 years, male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as ILI, complained of fever and cough. He was admitted on 07.06.2020 at a designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 14.06.2020.”
“P-6027, 40 years, female patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. She was admitted on 08.06.2020 at a designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died same day.”

“P-6570, 68 years, male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, he complained of fever, a known case of CHD & CKD. He was admitted on 11.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 13.06.2020).”

“P-7183, 74 years, female patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Known case of DM & HTN. She was admitted on 14.06.2020 at a designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 15.06.2020.”
“P-7186, 65 years, female patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Complained of fever, known case of HTN. She was admitted on 13.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 17.06.2020.”

“P-7250, 31 years, male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as ILI. Complained of a cough. He was admitted on 13.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 18.06.2020.”

“P-7105, 50 years, female patient, resident of Koppala district. Diagnosed as SARI, complained of cough & breathlessness. She was admitted on 13.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Koppala. Died on 17.06.2020.”

“P-7776, 55 years, male patient, resident of containment zone in Bidar district. Complained of breathlessness. He was admitted on 08.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bidar. Died on 17.06.2020.”

“P-7835, 66 years, female patient, resident of Vijayapura district. Diagnosed as SARI, complained of fever, known case of DM, HTN & IHD. She was admitted on 15.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Vijayapura and died on 17.06.2020.”

“P-7907, 50 years, male patient, resident of Kalaburagi district. Complained of cough & breathlessness, known case of COPD. He was admitted on 13.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Kalaburagi. Died on 15.06.2020.”

210 new Covid-19 cases

Meanwhile, as many as 210 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state, taking the rally to 7,944. The State Health Department reported a total of 179 discharged across the state while 4,983 persons have been discharged so far. The number of total active cases in Karnataka stands at 2,843.
