Section 144 imposed in district, Tourist spots, hotels, lodges, home stays closed

With a returnee from Saudi Arabia testing positive for Covid-19 in Kodagu, the total number of infected persons in Karnataka has climbed to 15.
Confirmimg the fact, Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu tweeted: “Today the first COVID-19 infection in Kodagu was confirmed, and this person was returning from a tour of Saudi Arabia. He is being treated at an isolation hospital. This is the 15th COVID-19 case in Karnataka.”
Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Annie Joy said prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed in Kodagu. Hotels, lodges, dormitories and home stays in the district will remain closed.
Section 144 has been imposed in the district in the interest of public safety till March 31, and there will be a ban on incoming tourists.
